One accused died and another became seriously injured, and three managed to escape during separate police encounters in Lahore, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
The first police encounter took place in Harbanspura, in which an accused was shot dead in an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) team.
Later, three accused who were riding a motorcycle escaped from the scene.
The dead accused was identified as Faisal.
Police shifted the dead body to the local hospital’s mortuary.
The second police encounter occurred in the Nawab Town area of Lahore, in which an accused became seriously injured after receiving severe bullet shots.
The accused was identified as Javed. The CCD team immediately shifted the injured accused to the hospital.
After collecting evidence from the crime scene, the police start a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
