Khyber Police carried out a major operation against a dacoit gang, arresting three suspects who had looted a vehicle loaded with solar panels on the Pak-Afghan Highway, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to police, the suspects were arrested from their homes and identified as members of the gang led by ringleader Qadeer, a resident of Shalobar.
From their possession, police recovered 76 solar panels, a Qingqi loader, a motorcycle, arms, and Rs420,000 in cash.
The raid was conducted on the directives of DPO Rai Mazhar Iqbal and supervised by DSP Sawalzar Khan and SHO Javed Khan.
A pistol and motorcycle were seized from Qadeer, while additional solar panels and cash were recovered from accomplices, including Hukum, Yaseen, Shakeel, Shehzad, and Ayat.
Police also recovered 10 solar panels from shopkeeper Wajahat. The seized arms and goods have been taken into custody, cases have been registered, and special teams have been formed to make further arrests.
