Renowned Pakistani actor and television host Adnan Siddiqui has shared his candid thoughts on the frequent comparisons between Tamasha and India’s popular reality show Bigg Boss, offering his verdict on whether the Pakistani reality show can stand alongside its much larger international counterpart.
During a recent interview with journalist Maliha Rehman, Adnan was asked about the growing scale and popularity of Tamasha, which has successfully completed five seasons. Addressing comparisons with Bigg Boss, the actor acknowledged that the two productions operate with vastly different resources.
Adnan Siddiqui talked about how people often compare Tamasha to huge international reality shows like India's Bigg Boss. He explained that foreign shows have much bigger budgets, larger teams, and highly advanced systems.
Pakistan simply does not have these resources. Furthermore, he proudly stated that the Pakistani team still makes a high quality show. It competes directly with those international programs.
He added that while foreign shows might be older and bigger, no one can say the Pakistani version is bad, rating their effort an impressive 18 out of 20.
The actor also addressed the noticeably grander stage and visual scale of the latest season. Agreeing that Tamasha has evolved over the years, Adnan revealed that one of the show's biggest achievements is that its production is handled entirely by local professionals.
Then, he shared a major secret behind the production. He revealed that everything is made completely in house by local professionals. They do it without any foreign help.
From directors and camera operators to lighting teams and set designers, Adnan said the show relies on Pakistani talent rather than bringing in foreign experts or outside technical teams.
However, Adnan Siddiqui highlighted that Tamasha relies completely on Pakistani talent. He explained that their directors, camera crew, light operators, and set designers are all local people. They do the entire job on their own.
