A Chinese woman was found dead in the jurisdiction of Karachi Company Police Station in Islamabad’s G-8 Sector on Wednesday, police sources said.
The woman was identified as Wan Ru Peng, who had come to Pakistan on a visit visa, according to officials. Police said her body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of her death.
Law enforcement officials stated that the incident was being investigated from all angles, and the reasons behind the death are being ascertained. Police added that the woman sustained severe injuries, which proved fatal.
“The facts will come to light after the postmortem report,” police said, adding that an investigation is under way to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
