Police on Thursday arrested a robber who was injured by the bullet of his own companion as they were trying to avoid a police party in Ghaziabad area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Both the criminals were robbing a citizen at gunpoint when the police party came, On seeing the police, they opened fire at them and tried to run away.
SP Cantt Esa Sukhaira said the patrolling police reached the site on the call of the victim citizen. The suspects were riding a bike near the railway lines and opened fire at the police party.
The police have arrested Afzal aka Maja — a criminal with a record.
The police said their search teams were after the second robber who managed to run away from the scene, take advantage of the darkness near the railway lines.
