More than a year after their Nikah, Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed are opening up about how marriage has changed their relationship, sharing the surprises, joys and evolving dynamics of life as a couple.
The actors recently appeared on Mehfil-e-Ramzan transmission, hosted by Rabia Anam and Danish Taimoor, where they discussed married life and the evolution of their bond.
Reflecting on the changes marriage brings, Gohar said, “We were close friends and knew each other well but to be honest, people do change after marriage. There is a difference in personality and sometimes it feels as if you’ve started life with a new person.
We are the same, but every day we discover new things about each other and that’s the beauty of Nikah.”
The couple also revisited their love story. Kubra revealed that Gohar had proposed earlier, but she initially declined because she saw him only as a friend. Over time, their bond deepened, turning friendship into a lifelong partnership.
Speaking about their Nikah in Makkah, both said it had long been a shared dream and described the experience as spiritually meaningful and deeply fulfilling.
Kubra added that married life has brought her peace and emotional stability. The couple also shared lighthearted moments, laughing about discovering new sides of each other every day.
The actors tied the knot in February 2025 in an intimate ceremony attended by close family members. Their destination wedding went viral, trending across social media for days and inspiring several celebrities to consider Makkah or Medina for their own Nikah ceremonies.
