The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will meet on Monday (Jan 29) to decide about the Monetary Policy, the 24NewsHd TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to the central bank’s statement issued on Tuesday, Governor SBP, Jameel Ahmad will announce the Monetary Policy decision at a press conference on the same day after the MPC meeting.
It is pertinent to note that market participants are widely expecting that the central bank would keep interest rates unchanged at 22% for the fourth consecutive meeting.
