Renowned Pakistani boxer Shoaib Khan Zahri was injured during a fighting event in Kazakhstan, leading to the cancellation of Pakistan’s bout against India, officials said.
The injured fighter Zahri, who hails from Balochistan, suffered a shoulder fracture during the contest in Oskemen City, Kazakhstan, preventing him from completing the fight.
Despite the injury, Zahri continued to compete bravely before the bout was halted as his pain intensified.
Medical staff provided immediate treatment at the venue and later confirmed a shoulder fracture, officials said.
Zahri is receiving further medical care, while event organisers said his match against Indian boxer Shivam has been postponed till the fighter's full recovery of the fighter.
