Israeli PM Netanyahu faces protests in New York over Palestinian rights

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced strong opposition during his visit to the United States, with protests erupting outside his hotel in New York, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.


According to the report, demonstrators gathered to voice their support for Palestinian rights, calling for an end to financial support for what they termed as crimes in Palestine.


The protest included a participant wearing a mask resembling Netanyahu, and the crowd chanted slogans advocating for Palestinian freedom.


According to media reports, the protesters demanded that the US stop funding Israel's actions in Palestine.


As per the schedule, Prime Minister Netanyahu is set to address the US Congress today and meet with US President Joe Biden at the White House tomorrow.


Former US President Donald Trump has also agreed to meet with Netanyahu on Friday in Florida.
