Two real brothers plunged into the Jhelum River in Chakothi, Azad Kashmir, on Wednesday.
The tragedy unfolded after one of the brothers, Kashif, reportedly failed a few subjects in his matriculation exams.
Distraught over his exam results, Kashif jumped into the river near the newly installed chairlift in Chakothi, a town close to the Indian border.
However, the strong current carried both brothers away within moments, leaving onlookers helpless.
As soon as news of the incident spread, Rescue 1122 teams along with some residents rushed to the scene.
They launched a search operation along the riverbanks to locate the missing siblings, but no clue of them was found until the time of filing this report.
