Legendary Pakistani folk singer Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi revealed that his grave has already been prepared in his family graveyard in Isa Khel.
Speaking with journalist Irshad Bhatti, the veteran singer shared that he decided to prepare his final resting place after building a farmhouse and a mosque. It is pertinent to mention that fake news regarding the death of folk singer had gone viral several times.
Esakhelvi said the decision of preparing his personal grave was also influenced by losses of several loved ones, which prompted him to reflect more deeply on the reality of death and the temporary nature of life.
Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi is regarded as one of Pakistan's greatest folk singers, with a career spanning more than four decades.
Renowned for his soulful voice and emotional poetry, he has recorded thousands of songs in Saraiki, Punjabi, Urdu and Pashto. His timeless classics continue to resonate with audiences, making him one of the country's most influential musical icons.
