Ishaq Dar, Egypt FM call for de-escalation in Middle East

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Miniter Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar had a telephonic conversation with his Egyptian counterpart late Monday night and discussed the prevailing situation in the Middle East, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

According to a Foreign Office post on X platform, Ishaq Dar and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty reviewed the evolving regional situation.

Ishaq Dar emphasized the urgent need for de-escalation and sustained dialogue to ensure peace and security. Both agreed to remain in close contact.

Earlier, Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Iran, Abbas Araghchi.

They discussed recent regional developments. DPM/FM emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to promote peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond.

Both sides agreed to remain in close contact on the evolving situation.
