Azerbaijan embassy hosts lunch on country's 107th Independence Day

The Embassy of the Republic Azerbaijan on Tuesday hosted a luncheon reception in connection with 107th Independence Day of Azerbaijan.

The luncheon reception was attended by Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Sherry Rehman, and number of political, social and diplomatic personalities.

Ambassadors of Turkiye, Uzbekistan, Russian Federation, and Turkmenistan along with other were also present on the reception.

The reception kicked started by playing the national anthems of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

While addressing the luncheon reception the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Kazar Farhadov said that the relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan are cordial and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was one of the first countries that recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 12, 1991.

“From the first day of our independence, we feel Pakistan's full support to the Republic of Azerbaijan both in bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations, and during the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by invader Armenia and their liberation by Azerbaijan, and in the post-conflict period.” Kazar Farhadov added.

Chief Guest Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik highlighted the close, cordial and brotherly ties between the two nations.

The minister appreciated and thanked the government and the people of Azerbaijan for their the strong support during the recent Pak-India conflict.

The minister expressed his strong desire to discover more avenues of cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in various field especially in petroleum sector.

The Luncheon reception was culminated with cake cutting by the guests.
