Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday held a meeting with athlete and journalist Mona Khan for winning 42.2-km London Marathon 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On this occasion, Maryam Nawaz presented two cheques worth Rs500,000 each to Mona Khan and her coach Mohammad Yousaf.
Maryam Nawaz said that Mona Khan set an example by winning gold medal that woman players can win any game if provided opportunity.
The Chief Minister said that the Punjab government providing all the facilities to women players for their growth.
She said that Pakistani players are showing outstanding performance around the world in different sports events.
Maryam Nawaz said that Punjab government launched “Khelta Punjab” for promotion of sports activities in the province.
She said that Punjab government taking measures for promotion of sports in the province.
Mona Khan said that the daughter of Punjab granted great respect to the daughter of Sindh and encouraged her.
Mona Khan said that my gold medal belonged to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
