A drug leader was killed during an exchange of fire with the police in Old Golimar area of Karachi on Sunday, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The deceased was identified as Maha Raj and was associated with narcotics business.
Police said that hand grenades and weapons were recovered from his possession.
In Gulberg area of Karachi, police arrested two suspects in an injured condition following an encounter, while the Force arrested two dacoits in an injured condition near Five Star Chowrangi.
Similarly, in a joint operation carried out in Liaquatabad, Special Investigation Unit and Rangers arrested an extortionist in an injured condition, while his accomplice managed to flee from the spot.
The suspects would threaten traders on phone and demand money from them.
One person was shot dead near New Mianwali Colony.
One person was injured in an incident of firing near Boat Basin Benazir Park, while a 10-year-old girl was injured after she was hit by a bullet in Landhi.
