A moment of respect was witnessed during the convocation ceremony at Islamia College, Peshawar, where a gesture by officials drew attention when they knelt down for a short-statured graduating student.
According to details, a short-statured graduating student came forward to receive his degree when the officials knelt down to present the degree scroll at the student’s level to ensure ease and respect during the photograph and ceremony.
During the ceremony, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Minister Meena Khan Afridi, along with senior faculty members and the Vice Chancellor, participated in the degree distribution process.
Officials were seen interacting warmly with the graduate, shaking hands and smiling as the degree was presented.
The convocation ceremony was held at Islamia College Peshawar as part of its annual academic celebrations, marking the graduation of students from various disciplines.
Islamia College Peshawar, founded in 1913 by Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum Khan, is a historic public institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, offering intermediate, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes in various fields, including sciences, arts, engineering, and religious studies.
The college has strong historical significance due to its association with Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who visited the institution in 1936, 1945, and 1948 and also included it in his will.
