Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered to ensure foolproof security during the Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Adha days, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed to implement security SOPs across the province. Maryam Nawaz also ordered to install metal detectors and walk-through gates during Eid gatherings.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed assistant commissioners to meet ulema. Ulema will be briefed on Punjab government’s security and cleanliness arrangements on Eid.
Maryam Nawaz directed extraordinary security arrangements at sensitive places. She ordered to deploy patrolling and lady police in markets on Chand Raat.
She also directed to ensure safe city real-time monitoring for security operations. Maryam Nawaz ordered to strictly implement ban on camps for collecting hides by banned organizations.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed DPOs to personally visit to ban camps of banned organizations. vShe ordered to ensure prohibition of hateful content on social media and other media.
Chief Minister instructed to take action against motorcyclists who are one-wheeling and causing trouble on Eid-ul-Adha. Home Secretary Ahmed Javed Qazi gave a briefing on security arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha.
According to briefing, Eid prayers will be held at 38507 places across the province. Roasting of sari-pai in public places has been banned under Section 144.
Action will be taken against those who throw animal remains in drains and public places. Ban on aerial firing and display of weapons on Eid-ul-Adha will be ensured at all costs.
