An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has rejected the bail request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and the former deputy speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Jan in a murder case.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel Monday, the police took the PTI leader into custody from the courtroom.
Mehmood Jan and another three persons were accused of murder. He filed a plea for interim bail in the court of ATC judge Jahanzeb Shenwari.
The court dismissed Mehmood Jan's interim bail application.
According to police, Mehmood Jan and his three accomplices murdered Muhammad Ali and injured another citizen over a property dispute.
