Former federal minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was taken to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) due to cardiovascular ailment, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
According to the report, he was rushed to the RIC after he complained of chest pain.
After an initial examination, Rashid was shifted to the ICU, where he was also underwent further diagnostics tests including ECG and Troponin Test.
According to doctors, his ECG test is fine , however, he will be kept under observation till the arrival of Troponin Test result. After the result, the doctors will decide to discharge or keep him admitting in the hospital.
Sheikh Rashid is a chronic patient with heart ailments.
