Pakistan and Turkiye ministers mull ways to start ferry service

Turkish Transport Minister called on Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry in Islamabad ton discuss start of ferry service between Pakistan and Türkiye, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

During the meeting, the ministers discussed ways to enhance cooperation in shipbuilding, operations and shipbreaking. 

On the occasion, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry invited Turkish investors to invest in Gwadar which was being transformed into a modern maritime hub. 

Turkish minister shows keen interest in increasing maritime cooperation with Pakistan. 

Turkish minister said Turkish investors' delegation to visit Pakistan soon and ferry service will boost Pak-Turkish trade and tourism. 

Junaid Anwar said Pakistan has a quota of 25,000 tonnes of tuna fish. He said Pakistan will hold a maritime conference in the next three months.
