Senior lawyer Mohammad Ali became critically injured when some dacoits attempted to loot him, and upon resistance, they opened fire on him in Shikarpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The firing incident took place in the Jara Wah area in the jurisdiction of Lakhi Ghulam Shah Police Station at Sukkur-Shikarpur Road on the National Highway.
Soon after receiving the report, the police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured lawyer to the Tehsil Hospital Lakhi Ghulam Shah.
Police started a search operation to apprehend the dacoits. Police said that the incident occurred as the victim showed resistance during the dacoity and snatching attempt.
