The prices of gold witnessed a decline in the local market on Thursday, with the 24-karat per-tola rate falling by Rs5,600 to settle at Rs448,336, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs4,801 to Rs384,375, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold declined by Rs4,401 to Rs352,336.
In the international market, the price of gold fell by $56 to $4,258 per ounce, the association reported.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola fell by Rs171 to settle at Rs6,837, while the price of 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs147 to Rs5,861.
The price of silver in the international market also declined by $1.71 to settle at $63.59 per ounce, the association added.
