Govt providing conducive environment to promote business: PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government is providing a conducive environment to promote investment and business activities in the country.

PM Shehbaz made the remarks during meetings in New York with delegations of the US based Pakistani business leaders and professionals representing information technology, artificial intelligence, automobiles, energy, construction and various other sectors.

Shehbaz Sharif said the business leaders and professionals are ambassadors of Pakistan who project a positive image of the country through their contributions around the world. He invited them to invest in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said reforms in the Federal Board of Revenue have helped address the issues faced by the business community.

He said the government is taking priority measures to promote innovation in the agricultural sector and accelerate its development.

The business leaders and professionals appreciated the Prime Minister’s leadership and praised the government’s initiatives in agriculture, industry, exports and particularly FBR reforms.

‘Govt taking steps to empower youth’

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government is taking steps to empower youth across Pakistan by providing training in IT, artificial intelligence and modern skills.

He made the remarks during separate meetings in New York with delegations of Pakistani community and Pakistani youth residing in the United States.

Shehbaz Sharif said the initiative of providing laptops and scholarships to talented youth and equal educational opportunities to economically disadvantaged students through Daanish Schools, which he had started as Chief Minister of Punjab, is continuing in his capacity as Prime Minister.

He said a world-class Daanish University is also being established. He said talented Pakistani youth living abroad are a source of pride for the entire nation. He said he firmly believes that only the youth can change Pakistan’s destiny.

The youth appreciated the Prime Minister’s initiatives for their development, particularly in information technology and ease of doing business.
