A grand and dignified ceremony was held in Karachi to mark the 96th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing together diplomats, senior government officials and distinguished personalities from Pakistan and various countries.
The ceremony highlighted the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, their close cooperation, and shared commitment to peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
The event commenced with the national anthems of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, setting the tone for an evening celebrating the deep-rooted friendship between the two brotherly nations.
Addressing the gathering, Saudi Consul General H.E. Mohammed N.M AlSubaie highlighted the historical significance of Saudi National Day and the Kingdom's journey of unity, development and stability. He described Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations as a source of pride, emphasizing the strong bonds of love, mutual respect and fraternity between the peoples of the two countries.
Governor Sindh highlighted the remarkable development and transformation taking place in Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He said the Kingdom was entering a new era of development, innovation and prosperity, adding that Saudi Arabia's achievements were a source of happiness not only for its people but also for its friends and partners around the world.
DG MOFA Irfan Somroo also addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the Makkah Agreement, describing it as an important initiative aimed at promoting unity in the Muslim Ummah, mutual respect and the peaceful resolution of differences.
Diplomats and representatives from Oman, the United Kingdom, the United States, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Türkiye, Côte d'Ivoire, Germany, Ethiopia, Morocco and other countries attended the ceremony and conveyed their greetings to the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of National Day.
Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain and the Inspector General of Sindh, along with other senior officials and dignitaries, were also present at the event.
The ceremony concluded with the cutting of the Saudi National Day cake, marking the occasion in an atmosphere of friendship, goodwill and celebration.
The event reaffirmed the enduring bonds of brotherhood, mutual respect and cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
