Popular Pakistani fashion designer Maria B and Turkish influencer Turkan Atay's work commitments led to some serious issues regarding delayed payments, which created a controversy on social media.
Actress Nadia Khan gave her stance on the matter and talked about it in her morning show on the 365 channel.
Nadia Khan advised Maria B that if any mistake was made from her end by her PR team member, then it should be her responsibility to overcome that to protect her brand's reputation.
Here is what Nadia said to Maria B, “You are such a big brand; you should not have invited this level of negative publicity towards your brand. It should have been stopped, even if you had to spend extra money, because it damaged your reputation. If your employee made a mistake, you should control that damage to protect your brand’s image. Such accusations tarnish your brand name, which is way bigger. You must compensate for the loss caused by your worker’s actions, and you should take responsibility. You should talk to the influencer, as she should get her payment. She should get her payment.”
Nadia also gave a message to Turkan Atay for using inappropriate language in her videos.
Nadia Khan said, “Even if you are right and you have proof, you should not have used such bad words because it comes under discourteous behaviour. You used bad language. As an influencer, you should have chosen your words wisely. You lost my sympathy after using inappropriate language for Maria B. I can’t even show the clip in my show, and I know there wasn’t any language barrier—you warned Maria B in aggression.”
Turkish influencer Turkan Atay accused Maria B of not paying her for the shoot she did in Turkey for the promotion of her brand's clothing collection.
Maria B responded by saying that she was unaware of the deal between Turkan and the brand due to a mistake by a junior PR member who had made a false commitment.
Turkan waited for too long and contacted Maria B with all respect, but all in vain. Now it's been three months and Turkan did not received her payment, which she deserves for her work.
She exposed Maria B's ugly behavior on social media with messages as proof. She made videos of herself in which she told the whole story in detail, and she also used bad language against Maria B.
