Crops destroyed, villages flooded after River Indus bursts its banks at Obaro

Cotton and other crops were destroyed while several villages in the Union Council Bhand, including Sher Muhammad Solangi, Mithu Khan and Akbar Mazari, were inundated after the River Indus burst its banks at Obaro, Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Seeing nobody from the administration coming to their rescue, the residents were forced to relocate to safe places on their own. 

Bhimber nullah bursts its banks in Gujrat

On the other hand, dozens of villages in Gujrat risked getting inundated after water from Bhimber Nullah spilled over into agricultural fields and Phularwan Stadium. 

River Sutlej bursts its banks at Pakpattan

Water from the River Sutlej spilled over into hundreds of acres of agricultural land in Kand Sado Haider village in Pakpattan, after washing away an embankment.  

The locals built another embankment on their own.  

Dozens of villages flooded in Arifwala

The situation was no different in Arifwala where crops, grown over hundreds of acres of land, were inundated while dozens of villages were also flooded after the River Sutlej burst its banks.   

Administration issues flood alert in Qabula

In Qabula, the administration issued an alert for a high flood in the River Sutlej, and urged the residents to move to safe locations. 

On the other hand, the concerned officials visited Tibbi Lal Beg, Noora Rath, Arazi Dilawar and surrounding areas, which risked getting affected by the flood the most. 

River Indus in medium flood at Kashmore 

Meanwhile, the water level in the River Indus at Kashmore dropped at a rapid pace, and the river was no more in high flood at the site till last reports came in.
