After being in headlines for months for the wrong reasons of filing for divorce, the celebrated couple, Govinda and wife Sunita Ahuja, once again grabbed eyeballs after the update came into light, claiming that the wife has accused the male star of cruelty, adultery, and cheating and filed for the divorce.
However, lately, their daughter stepped into the discussion related to her parents' possible separation and completely debunked it all.
During her media appearance with Hindustan Times, she said that swirling claims that her parents are heading for divorce are "all rumors."
Over Being inquired about her feelings about the reports of parents’ divorce, she added that she does not pay any heed to such claims.
Revealing her parents' reaction over the same, she disclosed that Govinda is not in the country, adding: "I feel blessed to have a beautiful family and I am really grateful for all the concern, love, and support we have been receiving from the media, fans, and loved ones.”
As per the reports by the Hauterrfly, the wife, Sunita Ahuja, filed for a divorce in the Bandra Family Court on December 5, 2024. The report states that Ahuja filed the case under Section 13 (1) (i), (ia), (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act 1955, on the grounds of adultery, cruelty, and desertion.
Reportedly, Govinda was summoned by the court and was asked to appear for further procedure. However, he failed to appear in court initially until May 2025.
