The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday threw out the appeal filed by a former subedar against his court-martial, saying it was inadmissible for the hearing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A two-member bench, headed by Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi, heard the appeal.
During the hearing, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan asked, “What was the allegation against Iqbal?”
Iqbal’s lawyer informed the judge that his client had been dismissed from service following a court-martial for committing immoral activities.
Justice Afghan observed that the charge of being involved in immoral activities was indeed a serious one.
The lawyer further said that neither was there any complainant against his client nor was there any proof which could substantiate the claim made against him.
However, the bench disagreed with him and rejected the appeal.
