The only Russian presidential hopeful that opposes the Ukraine offensive, Boris Nadezhdin, told AFP Wednesday he hoped the March election will mark "the beginning of the end" of the Vladimir Putin era.
"I hope that March 17, while it may not be the end of the Putin era, will at least mark the beginning of the end," Nadezhdin said in an interview at his home outside Moscow.
