Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (FM) Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Bangladesh’s Adviser for Foreign Affairs Touhid Hossain held a telephonic discussion on Sunday, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Both dignitaries reviewed Pakistan-Bangladesh relations, including trade and economic cooperation.
During a telephonic conversation, they reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening collaboration across multiple sectors.
The two officials also exchanged views on current regional and international developments and underscored the importance of sustained engagement to advance shared interests and promote regional peace and prosperity.
It is necessary to mention here that on the invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Muhammad Ishaq Dar paid an official visit to Dhaka on 23-24 August 2025.
This was the first visit of a Pakistani foreign minister to Dhaka in around 13 years.
