A woman breathed her last, and two others became seriously injured when a balloon-inflating tank exploded in a shopping plaza of Lahore, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The incident took place in Anum Plaza, located on PIA Road, Johar Town, Lahore.
Soon after receiving the report Rescue 1122 team rushed to the site and shifted the dead and injured persons to Jinnah Hospital in Lahore.
The dead woman was Noor Taj, while the injured are Javaria and Anum.
Earlier in November 2025, a powerful gas cylinder explosion in Lahore’s Harbanspura near Nadar Market caused a building to collapse, killing three people.
Rescue teams managed to pull seven injured individuals from the debris and rushed them to nearby hospitals.
The injured include six women, while three of them are said to be in critical condition.
The blast sparked panic in the area as police and rescue authorities arrived at the scene to investigate the cause.
Officials have launched inquiries to determine how the explosion occurred and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
