All Government Employees Grand Alliance has announced a complete strike from Monday against torture on an employee by a staff officer outside the office of federal minister for culture, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement issued in Islamabad on Friday, All Government Employees Grand Alliance announced that a complete strike will be observed at the Pak Secretariat from Monday.

All Government Employees Grand Alliance stated that there will be no compromise on the self-respect of the government employees.

In the statement, they strongly condemned the violence against a Grade IV employee of the Minister's Private Secretary.

The Government Employees Grand Alliance demanded that the guilty officer should be suspended immediately and an inquiry should be conducted against him and punishment should be given.

If action is not taken, a complete strike will be held in the Federal Secretariat from Monday, the Alliance threatened.

Earlier, the alleged assault on Naib Qasid Qazi Ibrahim at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage office in Islamabad has led to a strong protest in the ministry.

According to Qazi Ibrahim, he was heating breakfast outside the office when Director Muhammad Bilal came out, asked him "What are you doing?" and allegedly abused and slapped him when he replied.

After the incident, the employees of the ministry reacted strongly, boycotting the office of Federal Minister Aurangzeb Khichi and announcing a complete strike against the incident of violence.
