Pop star Katy Perry stunned fans during her Australian Lifetimes tour this week when she unexpectedly smacked a collectable Labubu toy out of a concertgoer’s hand and the dramatic moment has since gone viral on TikTok.

The 39-year-old singer was performing her emotional track I’m Still Breathing while walking the crowd barrier at a recent show, holding a tray of iconic Aussie Tim Tams. As she interacted with fans, one audience member held out a boxed Labubu figure, a highly sought-after character from Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung’s The Monsters series.

Without missing a beat, Perry zeroed in on the toy, then struck it with her microphone and belted out: "I'm still -- no Labubus!" in perfect timing with her song.

Moments later, she crouched down to distribute Tim Tams, humorously instructing fans to use 'gentle hands'.

The unexpected move quickly set social media ablaze, racking up over 157,000 views and sparking a flurry of reactions. The fan whose toy was hit even commented under the viral clip: “omg this is the Labubu she slapped.”
