Nicki Minaj has sent shockwaves across the music industry with a series of cryptic social media posts in which she appears to accuse Jay-Z’s Roc Nation of professional sabotage.
The 42-year-old rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) over the past few days to voice her frustrations, implying that her career has been hindered by behind-the-scenes interference from powerful industry players without directly naming Jay-Z or his company.
“Barbz, that’s the REAL reason I won’t release music,” Minaj wrote, claiming that ongoing distractions and sabotage have kept her from dropping new material. Her last album, Pink Friday 2, was released in 2023.
