Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have reaffirmed the resolve to further strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors. The resolve was expressed during Second Round of Bilateral Political Consultations between the two countries held in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
The two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, discussed regional and global developments of mutual interest and reiterated the commitment to enhance coordination and dialogue at multilateral fora. Both sides appreciated the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction over the progress made under existing institutional mechanisms, including the Joint Ministerial Commission and regular leadership-level exchanges.
They agreed to maintain the momentum of high-level exchanges and institutional engagements and to convene the next round of consultations in Islamabad on mutually agreed date. Additional Foreign Secretary (Middle East) Shehryar Akbar Khan who was heading the Pakistani delegation, underscored the importance of further deepening the strong fraternal ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
