The process of online registration for Hajj 2027 from home continued uninterrupted and interesting figures have emerged regarding the Hajj Management System developed by the National IT Board, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The number of registered pilgrims has crossed 80,000 during the first three days, including 47,000 men and 33,000 women.
Karachi tops the list of those wishing to depart, with Lahore and Islamabad stations coming in second and third respectively.
It is heartening that the majority of registered Hajj pilgrims are between 25 and 50 years of age.
Among the registered pilgrims, 1,000 are PhD holders, 17,000 are Master degree holders, 21,000 are Bachelor degree holders and 12,000 are FA pass.
With the help of National IT Board, Hajj operation will be paperless and end-to-end digitized.
The mandatory registration drive for Hajj 2027 will continue during the public holidays.
Costs and other details will be released in the second phase.
