Two young children drowned after falling into a pond in a village near Shikarpur, 24NewsHD TV reported on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the village of Sher Dil Theem, located near Dhakan in the outskirts of Shikarpur.
According to police, the children were playing near the pond when they accidentally fell into the water and drowned.
Local residents immediately launched a rescue effort and recovered the bodies from the pond before shifting them to a nearby hospital for legal and medical formalities.
The deceased were identified as seven-year-old Adil and six-year-old Zara.
The tragic deaths have plunged the village into mourning, with grieving family members and residents expressing shock over the incident.
