Mahira Khan marks ‘15 glorious years in showbiz’ with heartfelt tribute to fans

Fifteen years after stepping into the spotlight, Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan has been celebrating a remarkable career filled with iconic performances, blockbuster films, and unwavering fan support.

Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress reshared a series of fan tributes commemorating her 15-year journey in the entertainment industry, expressing gratitude for the love she has received throughout her illustrious career.

Responding to one heartfelt fan edit celebrating her milestones, Mahira wrote, “I'm writing this down. I won't rest till I get to do one for each. I love you so much.” accompanied by a red heart emoji.

 

In another repost, she affectionately addressed her admirers, saying, “To many more. all of us together... Ameen. Love you my darlings.”

One tribute declared, “Mahira completed 15 years in the industry today as an actor. Love her. Mahira jaisi koi bhi nahin.” Resharing the post, the actress added a touching note of her own, writing, “This love. I cherish and will try to uphold forever. Thank you.”

Mahira's milestone celebration serves as a reminder of an extraordinary journey that began with her acting debut in the acclaimed film Bol (2011), directed by Shoaib Mansoor. However, it was her portrayal of Khirad opposite Fawad Khan in the blockbuster drama ‘Humsafar’ that transformed her into a household name across Pakistan and beyond.

Over the years, Mahira continued to captivate audiences through hit television dramas including Shehr-e-Zaat, Sadqay Tumhare, Bin Roye and Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay.

 

Her cinematic career proved equally successful with acclaimed films such as Bin Roye, Ho Mann Jahaan, Superstar, The Legend of Maula Jatt, Love Guru, Aag Lagay Basti Mein and Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad.

 

Mahira also made headlines internationally with her appearance alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the Bollywood film Raees, further cementing her status as one of Pakistan's most celebrated and globally recognized stars. She has won seven Lux Style Awards, including consecutive Best Actress wins for Bin Roye (2016), Ho Mann Jahaan (2017), Verna (2018), and Superstar (2020).  She has also secured eight Hum Awards for her television performances in iconic serials like Humsafar and Sadqay Tumhare.

Beyond acting, She was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the UK Parliament at the House of Commons for her contributions to cinema and women's empowerment.  Her regional footprint includes wins for Global Actress of the Year at the Beirut International Awards Festivals (BIAF) and the International Recognition Award at the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA) in Dubai. Also, she serves as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, championing the rights of refugees across Pakistan.
