Pakistan’s tally hits 1030 after 39 tested positive in Mardan village

The number of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan has crossed the 1,000 mark, as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra on Wednesday said that 39 people were tested positive in UC Manga of Mardan district.
It is the area where the first death because of the coronavirus in the country was recorded.
In a series of tweets, Jhagra said a total of 46 people – all of them asymptomatic – were tested out of which 39 had been found to be infected, while four samples were rejected.

Jhagra said they were awaiting further details which would be released immediately. “The information minister and I will hold a briefing shortly. There are significant lessons for all of us, asked to stay at home, to comply with instructions across Pakistan,” he added.
This latest revelation means that the number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has now climbed to 1,030.
Sindh tops the list with 410 cases followed by Punjab 296, Balochistan 110, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 117, Gilgit-Baltistan 81, Islamabad 15 and AJK one.
