Profit on national saving schemes increased

The government has decided to increase the interest rate on national saving schemes, which will take effect from Thursday (March 25), reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to details, the interest rate on Shuhada Welfare Certificates has been increased from 11.28 percent to 11.52 percent, on Regular Income Certificates from 9 percent to 9.36 percent, on Special Saving Certificates from 8.40 percent to 8.87 percent, on Defence Saving Certificates from 9.51 percent to 9.68 percent, on six-month Saving Certificates from 7 percent to 7.5 percent, on three-month Saving Certificates from 6.80 percent to 6.92 percent, while on one-year Saving Certificates the interest rate has been upped from 7.35 percent to 7.40 percent.
