The US dollar took another stride against the Pakistani rupee after gaining five paisas in the interbank trading on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the trading, the dollar rate was ended at Rs181.78, up by five paisas as on Thursday at the time of closing the rate of greenback was Rs181.73.

The economic experts are of the view that rupee has touched the historic low. They fear that due to daily appreciation of the US dollar, the imported articles would become expensive.

In a period of three weeks, the US dollar has become dearer by Rs4.30. On March 4, the dollar rate during the interbank trading was Rs177.50.
