Appellate tribunal clears key PTI candidates for Senate Elections

An appellate tribunal, operating under the jurisdiction of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday accepting appeals of several PTI leaders against rejection of their nomination papers, allowed them to contest upcoming senate elections going to be held on April 2.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the Appellate tribunal conducted hearing of appeals filed by several PTI candidates against decisions taken by the returning officers for rejecting nomination papers.

Accepting the appeals of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Murad Saeed, Azam Swati, Azhar Mashwani and Khurram Zeeshan, appellate tribunal has allowed them to contest the Senate elections.

The Appellate Tribunal, Justice Shakeel Ahmed announced the reserved decision and allowed Azam Swati to contest the technocrat seat.
