In view of the Middle East war, the federal government is planning to cut the development budget in the upcoming fiscal budget 2026-27, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Sources said that a cut of Rs100 billion is being made in the federal development budget. Further cuts in the federal development budget may also be considered.
The amount of the cuts will be adjusted in the subsidy on petroleum products.
The federal government has not increased the prices of petrol and diesel for the last two times. The federal government is providing a subsidy of Rs 69 billion by not increasing the prices of petrol and diesel.
