Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moqadam has said that there were no direct or indirect talks between Iran and the US, adding that according to his information, Trump's claims are baseless, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Talking to media, the Iranian ambassador said that there have been no direct or indirect talks between the two countries so far.
Reza Amiri, however, confirmed that friends like Pakistan were trying to pave the way for Iran and the US talks.
“We respect the efforts of friendly governments to stop the war. We hope that these efforts will help end the war," Reza Amiri added.
The Iranian ambassador said it was obvious that friendly countries were constantly engaged in consultations with both sides to end this usurping aggression. However, the friendly efforts of these countries do not mean negotiations between Iran and the United States have started; rather, an attempt was being made to provide a basis for dialogue between Tehran and Washington.
He hoped that the efforts of Pakistan and other friendly countries would prove fruitful in ending this imposed war.
Iran speaker warns US not to test 'resolve to defend our land'
Iran's powerful parliament speaker on Wednesday warned Washington not to test the Islamic republic's determination to defend its territory after the United States was reported to be sending more troops to the Middle East.
"We are closely monitoring all US movements in the region, especially troop deployments. What the generals have broke, the soldiers can't fix; instead, they will fall victim to (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu's delusions," said Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in an X post in English.
"Do not test our resolve to defend our land."
