Monalisa, the woman who shot to internet fame during the 2025 Kumbh Mela, is back in the spotlight this time at the centre of a serious controversy.

The viral figure has accused a filmmaker of misconduct involving minor girls and claimed that she and her husband are now receiving death threats, escalating the matter into a high-profile dispute.

Monalisa, popularly known as the “viral Kumbh girl,” has sparked a major controversy after making serious allegations against a filmmaker during a press conference in Kochi.

The internet sensation, who recently began exploring opportunities in the film industry, accused an unnamed director of misbehaving with minor girls under the pretext of offering film roles. She addressed the media alongside her husband, Farman, urging authorities to take action.

According to PTI, Monalisa also claimed that she and her husband have been receiving death threats. She further alleged that unidentified individuals had burned posters featuring her image, raising concerns over her safety.

During the press interaction, Monalisa alleged that the filmmaker had publicly spoken against her and stated that he would never cast her in his films. Responding strongly, she criticised his conduct and made serious accusations regarding his behaviour.

The couple also appealed to the central government and the Uttar Pradesh government for protection, claiming they have been targeted following their marriage and the ongoing dispute.

Monalisa stated that she married Farman in a Hindu ceremony at a temple, rejecting claims labelling their relationship as “love jihad.” She emphasised that she respects all religions and dismissed the accusations as baseless.

In an emotional moment during the press conference, Monalisa expressed distress over threats to her relationship, stating that she could not imagine being separated from her husband.

Farman also addressed the media, alleging that the filmmaker had been targeting him personally and making defamatory remarks.

The controversy comes shortly after the couple travelled to Kerala in connection with a film project. As of now, the filmmaker accused in the case has not issued any public response.
