Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan was reportedly harassed during a promotional event for her upcoming film Love Guru in Ilford, London, sparking widespread outrage among fans.

A now-viral video shows Mahira, alongside her co-star Humayun Saeed, being mobbed by a crowd as they visit the Indo-Pak Supermarket in Ilford.

At least three individuals can be seen aggressively approaching the actress, while security staff appeared overwhelmed and unable to manage the chaos.

Eyewitnesses say the incident occurred as Mahira attempted to make her way to the terrace to wave at fans, a part of the pre-scheduled promotional activities.

Sources claim that one of the security guards assigned to her was allegedly involved in the harassment, further worsening the situation.

“The moment she entered the store, one of the guards turned on her,” a source told local media, adding that Mahira was visibly shaken and hesitant to continue with the event. Tensions reportedly escalated further due to the display of Indian flags at the venue, amid ongoing sensitivities between India and Pakistan.

Despite her discomfort, the event went ahead as planned. Insiders suggest the actors had already received payments for their appearance, with Mahira allegedly being promised £5,000. However, the same sources claim that the commitment was not honoured, adding to the star's frustration.

“She immediately launched a protest with the organisers over both the security lapse and the broken financial agreement,” a source said.

So far, Mahira Khan has not issued any official statement regarding the incident.

However, fans across social media have condemned the mismanagement and demanded accountability from the event organisers.
