The Pakistan Football Federation (PHF) has dismissed a senior official from his position following allegations of harassment, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to a spokesperson for the federation, the official, who was serving as a director within the organisation, was removed from his post after a complaint was lodged by a female referee.
Chief Operating Officer of the federation, Shahid Niaz Khokhar, stated that the organization maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment.
He said the matter was investigated in accordance with the guidelines of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation before the decision to dismiss the official was taken.
The federation emphasized its commitment to ensuring a safe and professional environment for all players, referees and officials associated with football in Pakistan.
