At least six people, including two women and two children, were killed and three others seriously injured in a collision between a car and a pickup vehicle near the toll plaza on the Karachi-Quetta National Highway in Kalat, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.
According to police and rescue sources, the car was travelling from Karachi to Quetta when it collided with a pickup coming towards Kalat.
Rescue officials said the impact of the crash was severe, leaving six people dead at the scene while three others sustained critical injuries.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities urged motorists to drive carefully, warning that traffic accidents across the province have increased at an alarming rate due to speeding and negligent driving, particularly during the Eid travel season.
