Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) former governor Eng Shafqatullah Khan and former member of the national assembly Shahjee Gul Afridi Tuesday met with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in London.
They discussed the country's political situation and other issues.
While talking to the media after the meeting, both Engineer Shafqatullah and Shahjee Gul Afridi said that Nawaz Sharif discussed the new government of Afghanistan in detail.
The former governor KP said they had discussed the current situation of Sawat with the PML-N supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif. Eng Shafqatullah Khan said that situation in Swat is now under control.
Shahjee Gul Afridi said that FATA was annexed during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif. “Fencing on Pak-Afghan border is benefiting both countries,” he added.
Afridi said that unless the country's political leadership is on the same page, the problems cannot be solved.
Shahjee Gul Afridi further stated that we are trying to get the TTP people who went to Afghanistan to come back and stay with their families.
“Negotiations are still going on to bring TTP people back to their families,” he added.
