A Lahore-based manufacturer and retailer of smart gadgets is set to open Pakistan’s first official Apple retail store in Lahore later this year, according to a briefing shared by a Pakistani brokerage and market research firm.

The announcement was made during a corporate session attended by Topline Securities officials, where Airlink Communication — known for producing, distributing, and retailing smartphones, televisions, and wearable devices — outlined its upcoming expansion plans.

According to Topline’s post on X (formerly Twitter), Airlink will establish the country’s first Apple retail outlet at Dolmen Mall, Lahore, by the end of 2025. Alongside the Apple store, the company also plans to open a Xiaomi retail outlet at the same location.

The development comes shortly after Apple Inc., the Cupertino-based global technology giant, unveiled its latest iPhone 17, featuring a brighter, more durable display and an improved front-facing camera.

In Pakistan, iPhones continue to hold aspirational value, prized both for their design and software ecosystem as well as their reputation as status symbols.

In a significant milestone last year, GNEXT Technologies, Apple’s authorized distributor in Pakistan, appointed Airlink Communication as its premium partner to strengthen Apple’s footprint in the local market.

“This strategic partnership is aimed at expanding the structured retail network for Apple products across Pakistan,” Airlink said at the time. “It will ensure that customers have easier access to a wide range of Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and accessories.”

The opening of Pakistan’s first Apple retail store is expected to mark a turning point for the country’s tech retail landscape — providing consumers with direct access to Apple’s global retail experience for the first time.
